WARNING: Craigslist Scammers get on ZILLOW

WARNING: Craigslist scammers go to ZILLOW!! Another good reason to have a REALTOR on your side. I was contacted by a client of mine who was browsing on Zillow for rentals when she came across one not listed on HAR at the time. It was priced low and raised my suspicions so I contacted the so called listing agent to find out more. A Mr. "Rev. Oscar Martinez" answered me with that all to familiar... scam about how he is currently in the (West Africa) for an international Christian follower’s crusade... I contacted Zillow and my office manager to contact HAR. This is a real listing 12935 Garlenda Ln but it's not $950, it's $1,495 and listed by American Homes for Rent, not an individual. RENTERS BEWARE! Contact your realtor if it seems too good to be true, do not fall victim of these people who pray on Christians using God to gain trust. Shame on them.

For the 7th straight month, home sales in January inched higher, rising 3.4% above the level seen last January. This data is based on a weighted average of 53 metropolitan areas surveyed for the RE/MAX National Housing Report. After an unexpected jump in sales at the end of 2011, January sales returned to a seasonal norm and were down on a monthly basis 19.3% from December. Perhaps due to falling foreclosure numbers, January was the 19thconsecutive month that inventory levels dropped. The number of homes for sale last month was 24.1% lower than the number seen in January 2011. In the 53 metro areas, home prices were down only 0.8% from one year ago, building a trend of much anticipated price stabilization.
“This positive start to the year will hopefully set the tone for a continuing housing recovery that’s drawing home buyers with low interest rates and low prices,” said Margaret Kelly, CEO of RE/MAX, LLC. “If sales continue ahead of last year’s pace and inventory does not increase significantly, we could start to see increasing home prices this year.”

Our First Annural RE/MAX 360 - Komen Silent Auction for the Cure & Crawfish Boil was no doubt a HIT!

It was held at Big Woodrow's 3111 Chimney Rock yesterday, 5/14/2011 from 4-8.

We had a raffle for a Pitt's & Spitt's BBQ Pit, Congrats to Monique Modica for winning!

We had several other winners as well, winning a facial from Soteria Skin Spa, a Massage from Soteria Skin Spa, a $75 gift card to SushiPOP, a $25 to Ruggles Cafe Bakery, a couple of pair of iPod - MP3 player earbuds, a pink ribbon water bottle, 2 $50 gift cards to Big Woodrow's and MORE.

WE RAISED OVER $3,000 for the Susan G Komen Foundation!

Paris Green played live, acoustic style and rocked it.  We not only helped a good cause, RE/MAX 360 through a party like only we know how!
